Testimonials
Hear from pastors, partners, and community members about what God is doing through Two Feathers Ministries.
On behalf of our church family at Nanih Waiya Indian Mennonite Church, I want to express our deepest gratitude for the beautiful Christmas backpacks that were provided for the children this past year. Your generosity brought so much joy and excitement to their hearts, and your kindness truly reflected the love of Christ during this special season. Because of your giving spirit, children who might have gone without were able to experience the wonder of Christmas — not just through the presents they received, but through the reminder that they are seen, valued, and loved. The smiles, laughter, and happy chatter we witnessed will be cherished memories for years to come. Thank you for being a vessel of God’s love and for making a difference in the lives of our youngest members. May the Lord bless you abundantly in the coming year, and may His peace and joy fill your heart as richly as you have filled theirs.

“Our family of three has been going with Two Feathers Ministries to help with Vacation Bible School for four years now. We wanted an opportunity to serve God in a way that our young daughter, who was 5 years old the first time we went, could participate in. It has exceeded all our expectations and returning year after year is now the highlight of our daughter’s summers! We know this ministry makes a difference. You can watch the children walk in to VBS tentatively the first day, but leave five nights later having learned that there is a God and people that love them, regardless of what may be going on in their lives at home and school. The need on the Choctaw reservation for assistance and for Jesus is real. It is a joy to serve them by partnering with Two Feathers Ministries, and we would encourage others interested in serving God close to home to give it a try.”

First, I want to thank the Lord for bringing Rick and Deb into my life. Two Feathers Ministries came onto our reservation with an open heart filled with hope and love. They helped our Lil' church McKinley Mission bring a smile to literally hundreds of children and helped parents cope and accept our Lord Jesus. Two Feathers is a light of hope. As for myself and my late wife Sherrie Rick and Deb gave us a goal. With there love and support we accomplished a better life. My wife found comfort talking to Deb. And Rick and I are BF. Being a part of Two Feathers is a blessing. I believe their hard work and prayers saved a lot of lives on this Rez. They were always here supporting McKinley in times of need. May our good Lord bless them with Hope Faith and Love that they spread thru Indian country. God Bless.

The Gift of Being Welcomed In ~ Serving on the Choctaw Reservation in Choctaw, Mississippi with Rick and Deborah Kesecker through Two Feathers Ministries has become a deeply meaningful tradition in our lives. Rick and Deborah don’t simply organize mission trips—they build relationships, foster trust, and create an environment where both volunteers and the Choctaw community are genuinely valued. Their love for the people they serve is evident and rooted in Christ. A defining strength of this ministry is its partnership with local churches. In Choctaw, it is primarily through Pearl River Baptist Church, where over time the members have become like family to us. What begins as service quickly grows into fellowship and lasting relationships. Each summer centers around a week of Vacation Bible School, where the Gospel is shared with children and families. During this time, Liz leads a women’s Bible study for mothers and grandmothers, creating a meaningful space for encouragement, Scripture, and connection across generations. The ministry continues beyond the summer through the Backpacks & Bears initiative, which allows teams to return in November to personally deliver Christmas gifts along with the message of the Gospel. Mark especially values working alongside Rick and Deborah to identify meaningful projects that strengthen the church and community throughout the year. Two Feathers Ministries doesn’t simply visit—they walk alongside the people they serve, building lasting relationships and making a year-round impact. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and wholeheartedly recommend partnering with Two Feathers Ministries. It is not just a mission trip—it is a community where lives are truly changed.

Going to the Choctaw Reservation with Two Feathers Ministries over the years has been very special to me. After a few trips, I began bringing my daughters. Seeing them help share the Gospel alongside other children from Double Oak Community Church and Chelsea Community Church is truly inspiring. Choctaw is a special place, and I always feel at home there. The Choctaw children are precious and are so excited every year to attend VBS at Pearl River Baptist Church. A highlight for me each year is hearing everyone share the “God sightings” they experience throughout the week. Rick and Deb lead us so well, and Pastor Ricky’s partnership and leadership make it all possible. My daughter, Mallory, and I look forward to our next visit in June!

I will never forget the first time I was able to participate in the mission work at Choctaw…I was blown away. Every year I am amazed at what the Lord does. My whole family gets to be a part of this and it is a joy every year. We love going and we love being there. The people, the team and the experience are always more than we could ever hope for, the Lord always does such beautiful work.

Every year, Two Feathers Ministry hosts a backpack event at Double Oak Community Church. These backpacks are full of toys, Bibles, clothing, games for Native American children on reservations in Washington and Mississippi. My husband, Rob, and I decided to get involved with this ministry as I grew up in Washington. I had relatives who lived alongside the Yakima Indian Reservation who I would visit every summer. I have such great memories of getting to be a part of this wonderful community and eating some of the best fresh fruits and vegetables that they grew on their land. We felt like this was such a good fit as a ministry to support. The first year we did this, we grabbed a backpack for a young boy and asked that it be delivered to the Yakima Reservation because of the connection. Two Feathers were able to do this for us and even shared a picture of the young boy who received our backpack. The next year we asked if we could give a backpack to the same boy. Two Feathers Ministry asked if we would be willing to also provide a backpack for his brother. We naturally said yes. We again were blessed with a picture of two smiling boys holding our backpacks. And with that we were hooked. This is such a wonderful ministry and we will continue to support them every year.

As a family, we have been incredibly blessed to be part of Two Feathers Ministry for many years, and words can hardly capture the depth of gratitude we feel toward this incredible organization — especially its founders, Rick and Deb Kesecker. Every summer, our family has made the journey to the Choctaw Reservation in Mississippi to serve alongside Two Feathers. These mission trips have become the highlight of our year, a sacred time when we come together to put on Vacation Bible School for the beautiful children on the reservation. Watching their faces light up with joy as they learn Bible stories, sing songs, play games, and feel truly seen and loved has been transformative — not just for them, but for every member of our family. Rick and Deb have poured their hearts into this ministry with unwavering dedication, compassion, and faith. From the moment we first connected with them, their genuine love for the Choctaw people and for every volunteer who joins them has been evident. They lead with humility, organize these trips with such care and attention to detail, and create an environment where families like ours can serve meaningfully while growing closer to God and to one another. Their encouragement, wisdom, and servant-hearted spirit have inspired us time and again. They have not only facilitated these life-changing experiences but have become like extended family to us. Through Two Feathers Ministry, our child has learned what it means to serve selflessly, to step outside his comfort zone, and to share the love of Jesus in practical, joyful ways. We have witnessed firsthand how these VBS programs bring hope, build relationships, and plant seeds of faith in young hearts on the reservation. As parents, seeing our family united in this mission has strengthened our own faith and deepened our appreciation for God’s work in diverse communities. Rick and Deb, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have meant the world to us as a family. Your vision, perseverance, and Christ-like love have made these summers unforgettable and eternally impactful. Two Feathers Ministry is not just an organization — it is a family of believers changing lives, and we are forever grateful to be a small part of it because of you.

I would like to share our appreciation of the Two Feathers Ministries. The support of the backpacks each year has been very helpful in reaching out to many of the families who we have established relationships with or to reconnect with them through their kids. That joy of the kids receiving them flows onto the parent or grandparent. It allows us to share testimony of the working hands and feet of Jesus to get them into their hands, thus allowing us to share a bit more of the love He has for them all — and this is done in Jesus' name. These are not just given to the kids at church but also in addition with outreaches during the Christmas season. I am very thankful to all who have been involved in some way or another. Thank you all very much! Thank You Jesus!!

On behalf of our church family, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Two Feather Ministries for their continued support and generosity toward our congregation of Pearl River Baptist Church and community of Pearl River. Their partnership has been a true blessing and has greatly strengthened our outreach efforts to children, youth, and families. Two Feather Ministries has faithfully assisted us in multiple ways, especially through Vacation Bible School, where they helped provide resources, encouragement, and activities that made the experience meaningful and enjoyable for our children. During the Christmas season, they have generously provided backpacks filled with toys and supplies, bringing joy and excitement to many young people who may not otherwise receive such gifts. Their kindness has helped create lasting memories and reminded our families that they are loved and valued. In addition, the ministry has offered family portraits, Fall Festivals and organized fun activities that brought our church family together. These events not only provided practical support but also strengthened relationships, fostered unity, and encouraged fellowship within our congregation. Many families now have treasured photographs and shared experiences that will be cherished for years to come. Through their compassion, service, and dedication, Two Feather Ministries has made a positive and lasting impact on our church and the surrounding community. Their willingness to serve with love reflects the heart of true ministry, and we are deeply thankful for their partnership. We wholeheartedly recommend and appreciate Two Feather Ministries for their ongoing commitment to uplifting families and supporting churches. May God continue to bless their work and expand their outreach.

It has been a joy to watch Two Feathers Ministries faithfully carry the gospel to First Nations peoples over the years. As president of Birmingham Theological Seminary, I am especially grateful that Rick and Deb Kesecker are both BTS graduates — their theological training has been poured directly into a ministry that is doing exactly what the Great Commission calls us to do: making disciples among every nation. Two Feathers’ commitment to reaching Native American youth on the reservations with the love of Christ, meeting real needs while never losing sight of the gospel, is a model of faithful, kingdom-minded ministry. I commend them to you wholeheartedly.

I attended the Warrior Leadership Summit and at first I didn't want to be there. But something changed in me. I gained hope for my people and discovered my purpose through the Holy Spirit. I left that experience knowing who I am and what I'm called to do. I AM FEARLESS.

Deb and Rick Kesecker have been a blessing to McKinley Indian Mission and the Yakama people in many ways. I first met them when they came as part of a weeklong mission team with Double Oak Community Church. I was impressed at that time with their obvious love for the unlovely and devotion to God. Since then they have been part of the leadership in bringing teams to McKinley where they spearhead a Vacation Bible School that the children of the community look forward to every year. They organize and mobilize their church into providing Christmas backpacks or bags filled with presents for over 100 children and youth each year. They have been a powerful force in encouraging our youth to higher commitment and were instrumental in sponsoring four high school young people to come to Alabama and participate in their VBS, then these young people returned with the Double Oak Church group to help lead the VBS here on the reservation. Rick and Deb keep in personal contact with many from the church both adults and youth. They have been a personal encouragement to both myself and my wife as we seek to serve God among the Yakama people. We eagerly anticipate the time when God may lead them to serve here full time as well.

Two Feathers not only verbally shared the word of God, they have physically interacted and continued to by staying in touch constantly. Also, one of the most important/coolest was that they have given us bibles that have their name with it. So loving, caring, and hopeful.

Thousands upon thousands of Native Americans awaken each morning to yet a new day of despair, completely without hope or any expectation of help. Young and old, these forgotten ones struggle to survive and many, convinced they are wholly unloved, desperately seek to stop their suffering by surrendering to forces which assure their destruction. These are the souls to whom Rick and Deborah Kesecker are sent. This couple, by the mercies of God, seek daily to present themselves a living sacrifice on behalf of Native people living in the darkness of despair, befriending them, sharing their burdens, and loving them with the love they have received from Jesus. I count it an honor, a blessing, and a joy to humbly share in their ministry of love.

I have had the privilege of knowing Rick and Deborah Kesecker for many years now. We have been on several mission trips together, and I have watched as God has created a passion within them for His kingdom and for the Indian people. They say that the best way to tell what we were created to do is to find a people that we care deeply about, connect into what we most love to do, and find that singular thing that we are willing to sacrifice everything else for. I believe Rick and Deborah have found that place in Two Feathers Ministries. Their gifting and skills create a truly unique ministry of leadership development and cultural awareness that is already bearing fruit among native peoples. I am convinced that encouraging, enabling, and equipping Native leaders is the key to carrying the gospel to the First Nations that our God loves so deeply. He has planted that love for these wonderful people in the hearts of the Keseckers, and they have answered His call.

One of the great joys of being a Pastor is having members of your congregation being called to Great Commission work. Rick and Deb's passion for Native Americans and missions in general have been an inspiration and encouragement to me and Double Oak Community Church. They are never more alive than when they are serving our God and giving their lives away for the cause of Christ both locally and globally. I encourage you to support them in this great work.

Serving alongside Two Feathers Ministries has truly been such a blessing. We have had the opportunity to witness firsthand the incredible impact this ministry is making in the lives of so many. Whether it’s through Vacation Bible School, community outreach, or the backpacks and teddy bears given out at Christmas, every effort is done with genuine love and a heart for people. What makes this ministry so special is their commitment to building real relationships within the Native community while sharing the hope of the Gospel. They don’t just show up for an event—they invest in people, care deeply, and consistently point others to God’s love. We are so thankful to be a small part of the work they are doing. It’s inspiring to see lives being touched and the Gospel being shared in such meaningful ways. Two Feathers Ministries truly has a heart for serving others and for spreading God’s love to all nations. Nick and Haley Allen
